Strawberry shortcake cake

Ever since I discovered this amazing cake recipe from Sugar Geek Show, a talented baker based in Portland, Oregon, I’ve been completely obsessed! We make it at least three times a year, but I highly recommend baking it during peak strawberry season for the freshest, most flavorful results. While the original recipe calls for multiple layers, we sometimes simplify it with just two layers—and it’s still absolutely delicious!
